Extremely poor knowledge of products

Very upset
On April 2017, me and my fiance walked in to the Jewelry Exchange in Irving. We initially paid $300.00 down for the ring.
We have made layaway payments every month since then EXCEPT for these last 2 months. We moved pretty far away and due to our jobs and transportation issues, we are unable to make it out there. I have tried to call and make a payment with my credit card and am told that is not the credit card on file. Due to "company policy" they will not except payment from me.
We no longer even have that credit card; it has been cancelled. So just recently I looked in my receipts and realized that the initial payment on the receipt, was mine ending in 9292. So I called and tried to make another attempt and was told the same thing. This was not the one on file.
I explained that was the credit card we used WHEN WE WERE ACTUALLY IN THE STORE that had a signature for authorization. The other credit card they have was given over the phone before without a signature authorization. Still was told boldly sorry we cant help you. Then to make it all worse the manager named MARK is the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with.
Not just is his customer service awful, but when I tried to speak he kept talking over me, and when I told him I wanted to speak to his supervisor I was hung up on. I recorded the conversation so I can let them listen to how not just their "manager" speaks to their customers, but a jewelry professional at that.
Unbelievable! I am so upset that I will NEVER RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO JEWELY EXCHANGE!!!!

Don't Go to the Jewelry Exchange Center in Villa Park IL
My husband and I went to the Jewelry Exchange on 2/19/16, to pick out a ring for our 20th wedding anniversary. First thing is we picked the ring setting.
There was no problem there. Then when it came time to pick out the diamond, it turned into a nightmare. The sale person kept showing us diamonds of low quality and very yellow. We were looking for a round diamond about 1 cart.
The price range was 2500 to 4500. After two hours of them showing us *** diamonds, we stated we were going to leave. Then they finally brought out a good diamond. So we went to purchase the ring and the system was down.
They had to hand write everything. They ran are credit card and got an approval. But then the store reported that the batch number did not match the last 4 digits of are credit card. We go online with our smart phone and the Bank Statement showed the charge went through.
The manager stated we will have to check with our main office on Monday and then we will mail the ring. Well here it is Monday and The Jewelry Exchange has now charged are credit charge twice for the same ring. I called the store to tell them that they charged us twice for the same ring and ask what the tracking number was for the ring shipping. The store Manager Cathy says they are still not releasing the ring and that she has to wait for her main store to clear the extra charge.
So I do not have my ring and I have been charged twice for the same ring. I will NEVER NEVER go to Jewelry Exchange Center again.
I have to now deal with my credit card company to get the charges deleted. All I can say is FRAUD!

This last repair literally lasted only TWO DAYS. Paid $107.86 for the third repair on Saturday, 7/23/16, and on Monday, it had already fallen out again. We no longer wish to conduct any business with The Jewelry Exchange (neither corporate nor the Overland/St.
Louis location we used), as they will not take responsibility for selling a lemon in the first place, and they refuse to refund the FAILED "repair" that lasted a whopping two days. DO NOT GO TO THE JEWELRY EXCHANGE!!

Cancelled a order minutes after ordering. Jay said it was fine he would take care of it.
Instead the cancelled ordered showed up anyway a month later. Now thier wanting to charge 65.00 for shipping and sizing. I had to pay to ship back a canceled order and now they want me to pay for thier mistake. Be careful shopping here.
The quality of the ring that was shipped was poor at best. I would recommend zoara.com they show you the actual diamond your buying. My experience here was terrible.
I currently disputing the charges through my credit card company. When someone cancels a order minutes after ordering you do not charge them for shipping and sizing then send it a month later to them.

Diamonds fall out!!
I got a new wedding set on 12-6. First diamond fell out 12-29.
Center stone fell out 3-14 and third diamond fell out 7-27. Since the ring is still under warranty, they will replace stones at no charge. After the 1 year warranty, I have to start paying for this defective ring. This place is a ripoff and their jewelry is substandard.
That is why they only offer a 1 year warranty. The joke is that when the center stone fell out the corporate office insisted the repair work be done there so that their "master jeweler" could work on it personally, check ALL the prongs and ensure that it was in perfect shape. Three months after that another diamond falls out.
I am battling at this point for a full refund. This place is a joke.
